South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne visited small businesses in towns across the Ludlow Constituency to celebrate ‘Small Business Saturday’.

Dunne welcomes falling unemployment

South Shropshire MP Philip Dunne has welcomed today’s Office for National Statistics figures showing the number of Jobseekers Allowance claimants in the Ludlow Constituency has fallen to 491. This is down from 1054 in May 2010, meaning a 53% fall.

More positive economic news for Shropshire and UK

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show the number of Jobseekers in the Ludlow Constituency has more than halved since the last General Election. There are now 519 claiming out of work benefits, down 50.76% from 1054 in May 2010.
