Ludlow Conservative Association is a modern forward-looking Association of like-minded people from all walks of life with a common belief that their country should be run by a Conservative government.
The Association has an Executive Council, which provides strategic direction to the Association. The Executive is composed of the Association Officers, the Management team, two representatives from each Branch, representatives from local government and up to three co-opted members.
Association Officers are responsible for managing the Constituency Association. The officers are President, Chairman, Deputy Chairman (Political), Deputy Chairman (Membership and Fundraising) and Hon. Treasurer. These officers are elected each year at the Association Annual General Meeting and serve a maximum of three years.
The Management Team oversees the running of the Association according to the policy set by the Executive Council and is made up of the Association Officers and LCCA Committee Chairmen and their Deputies.
Branches represent Association members. Each branch has its own elected officers. Due to recent boundary changes not every ward has its own branch.
LCCA is on the whole run and operated by Party activists. There are however a number of professional staff that work directly for LCCA at 54 Broad Street and there is also the support from the staff at Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) in London. The day-to-day running of the office, the needs of Officers, committees and branches, keeping and updating our electors records are taken care of by our Office Manager, Tracey Young.
As well as the political work carried out by the Association there are many and varied social functions organised by the Association and its branches. Details of these can be found on our events page
